Job overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Support Officer to join our team. The successful post holder will support the delivery of the digital agenda across the Trust.
The successful applicant will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure that the digital programme is being communicated and delivered, with the Head of Digital Systems.
The successful applicant should have an understanding of the strategic aims and objectives of the healthcare system through the Long Term Plan especially related to digital.
Main duties of the job
The Project Support Officer provides support for the running and management of Digital projects underway in the Trust.
The role manages elements of projects as required by the Head of Digital Systems. .
In conjunctions with the Head of Digital Systems, the post holder ensures that projects follow the PRINCE 2 project management methodology, are not only documented correctly, but have good stake holder engagement, report progress against plan consistently through the appropriate governance arrangements, have key decisions documented, are closed correctly and have smooth handover to business as usual operation.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Good educational background at GCSE, Diploma, NVQ or experience
- Formal project management qualification (PRINCE2 Foundation) or ability to demonstrate experience and success in delivering projects
Knowledge & Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of working in an office environment or experience of managing projects
- Experience of working in a project environment
- Substantial experience of using Microsoft Office applications
- Analysis of non-routine data interpretation and resolution
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working in a NHS environment
Skills and Atributes
Essential criteria
- Ability to exercise own initiative and work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to prioritise, organise work and manage time
- Experience of dealing with and communicating complex contentious information
