We are seeking an exceptional Deputy Divisional  Nurse Director to join our dynamic team in Peri Operative & Critical care services to help us deliver outstanding patient care. The post is on a fixed term basis for 12 months.

Main duties of the job

·         Assist in the management and leadership of the peri operative and critical care services ensuring high standards of care and compliance with healthcare regulations and guidelines.

·         Support the Assistant Chief Nurse in the development and implementation of strategic plans and policies.

·         Supervise, mentor, and develop departmental leaders, nursing staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

·         Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to enhance patient care and improve clinical outcomes.

·         Ensure efficient resource management and contribute to the financial planning and budgeting process.

·         Lead quality improvement initiatives and support evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Educated to Masters level (or ability to work towards) / equivalent experience with a relevant professional qualification
  • Relevant registration (NMC) with relevant senior experience
  • Operational / management experience of working within relevant service
  • Management Qualification or relevant experience
Desirable criteria
  • Additional management / leadership qualification

Knowledge & Experience

Essential criteria
  • Management Experience at senior clinical position/Matron level or above
  • Experience of staff development/human resource management
  • Knowledge of the Safeguarding Framework and experience of working collaboratively with the Named Nurse /Safeguarding team/Domestic Violence lead
  • Evidence of ongoing continuing Professional Development
  • Evidence of embedding Quality Governance and Evidence Based Practice
  • Evidence of managing quality initiatives which include patient engagement
Desirable criteria
  • Evidence of working in partnership with NHS or non NHS organisations

Skills & Attributes

Essential criteria
  • Oral and written communication e.g. skills to include communicating effectively, report writing and business case development
  • Evidence of managing a budget and supporting the delivery of CIP
  • Experience of implementing and supporting change e.g. working practices and redesign of services
