Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Estates and Facilities Department for an  enthusiastic team member for a Facilities Management Assistant (cleaning) . The post is suited to a motivated and  experienced person.   This post includes both wards and communal cleaning for which a high standards of cleanliness are expected.

 

Main duties of the job

An opportunity has arisen for a Facilities Management Assistant (Cleaning).  You must have good communication skills, a pleasant personality, a positive attitude and a willingness to work in all areas including  all wards  should the service require. You need to provide a high standard of cleanliness at all times. You must also possess the ability to work within a team or on your own as necessary with an understanding of health and safety in relation to safe working practices.  

Shift Pattern: Monday 8.00 -16.00 Friday 13.00 - 19.00 Saturday 11.00 - 19.00    21 hours  per week.  Some experience in a similar role would be beneficial.  This post is subject to a standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check. *The closing date given is a guide. NHS experience and training in safety, health and catering or cleaning tasks. Experience of working in a similar role (cleaning or catering). Experience of working in the NHS. Knowledge of the National Standards of Cleanliness and NHS Colour Coding. Experience of dealing with people.

Essential criteria
  • NHS experience and training in safety, health and catering,or cleaning tasks.
  • CIEH Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene, or equivalent.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
