Job overview
This is a fixed term training post of 37.5 hours per week, paid under Annex 21. On successful completion of the Apprenticeship programme, you will become an Occupational Therapist on the Band 5 pay scale in permanent contract.
As an apprenticeship this role is supported by an accompanying assessment and skills development programme, during which the post holder will gain the skills and knowledge relevant for this role. Learning will be a mix of in the workplace, formal on and off the job training, and the opportunity to practise new skills in a real work environment. On successful completion of their Apprenticeship, they will have the right knowledge, skills, and behaviours they need for their chosen role.
This opportunity includes:

- Support to gain a nationally recognised qualification
The post holder will be supported to work towards successful completion of:
· BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy at UCLAN.
Annex 21 salary
- Year 1 - 65% of top of Band 5 - £22,477.65
- Year 2 - 70% of top of Band 5 - £24,206.70
- Year 3 - 75% of top of Band 5 - £25,935.75
On completion of the Degree Programme, the successful candidate will transfer to the entry point for AfC Band 5 payscale.
Main duties of the job
A flexible approach to day to day tasks is essential, in order to meet the demands of the service especially as the majority of our services work over 7 days per week. Applicants will be expected to travel to University to fulfil their off the job training hours and when necessary to participate in providing outreach services.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- GCSE Grade C/4 or above in Maths and English or equivalent qualification.
- 120 UCAS Tariff Points, OR, • Access to Higher Education in a relevant subject (allied health, professions allied to medicine), OR, • Open University or other accepted distance learning qualification (on discussion with Admissions Tutor), OR, evidence of study in the last 3 years to A Level standard alongside relevant experience. 3
