Job overview

A vacancy has arisen for a Full time Clinic Clerk within Women's Services admin and clerical department as support to the outpatient clinics.

The successful candidate will be based across at Arrowe Park Hospital  providing reception and back office duties  for Gynaecology & Obstetrics.  This will be working 8:30- 8pm variable on a rota basis to cover the main reception and GAU/EPU reception. 

 

 

Main duties of the job

This is an exciting opportunity for a self motivated and enthusiastic person to take on a challenging and often pressurised role. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Previous hospital experience is desirable.  You should have a polite, friendly manner, and be able to deal with sensitive and confidential information professionally.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

If successful in this role, there is a requirement for you to 
have a standard/enhanced DBS. This will be paid for by the 
Trust and then deducted from your salary over a period of 
3 month.
As this vacancy is within the division of Women’s and 
Children’s, there is a mandatory requirement for 
successful applicants to join the DBS update service. The 
cost of joining the update service is £13 per year, and 
applicants are liable to cover this cost with no 
reimbursement from the Trust. Further details of how to 
join the update service will be provided upon appointment.

Qualifications, Specific Experience & Training

Essential criteria
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
  • Experience of working in an administrative role.
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ Level 2 in a relevant subject
  • Previous experience in an NHS acute hospital
  • Previous experience of the Cerner Millennium information system

Knowledge and Skills

Essential criteria
  • Basic working knowledge of IT
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
