An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time qualified Clinical Psychologist within Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust to join an expanding multidisciplinary team meeting the needs of Children and Young People (age up to 18) in Warrington.

Main duties of the job

To be responsible for the systematic provision of highly specialist psychological services for children and young people and their families/carers as part of the ‘No Wrong Door’ approach . In particular, to provide services as part of a multi-agency team that meet the agreed service priorities consonant with practitioner experience and expertise . Such services to include the development and implementation of innovative and highly specialist psychological assessment and intervention strategies and the provision of consultancy work generally for the assurance of quality in the use of psychological methods by other team members. Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS, including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology.
  • Registered with the Health Professions Council as a Clinical Psychologist
