Job overview
The Cheshire and Merseyside Cancer Alliance have an exciting opportunity to support Business Intelligence function of the alliance. We are looking to expand our team to transform cancer outcomes for the population of Cheshire and Merseyside.
Senior Analyst – Band 8a 1.0 WTE permanent post.
The post-holder will form part of the Business Intelligence Team at the Cancer Alliance but will have a primary focus of delivering the against the analytical needs of the Cheshire and Merseyside Alliance, it's programmes, and the wider system.
Please be aware that this is a hybrid role and will require working at the Cancer Alliance base 2 days each week with the remainder being remote working. Applications cannot be considered for those who are unable to attend in-person.
Main duties of the job
The Senior Analyst will contribute to the leadership of the analytical team and BI function within the Cheshire & Merseyside Cancer Alliance (CMCA).
This will include scoping the current available datasets and resources across the Cheshire and Merseyside system and continually collaborating with system partners such as the ICB and Data into Action teams.
The post-holder will work across Cheshire and Merseyside to assess the ‘best’ of cancer reporting (performance, operational and quality) and bring together technical and analytical colleagues as a community.
They will support senior leadership in the provision of a strategic, expert, effective and efficient analytical service to the alliance and system partners and stakeholders.
The role will sit within the Corporate Services function of CMCA, reporting directly to the Head of Performance.

- Educated to Degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent level of qualification or significant equivalent previous proven experience in specialist area
