An exciting opportunity has arisen for a registered nurse to join our friendly and developing team on Ward 11  (Trauma and orthopaedics).  We can offer full or part time hours, however the candidate needs to be prepared to rotate between days/ nights including weekend and bank holiday working when required.

Ward 11 is a busy 25 bedded acute trauma and orthopaedic ward, where patients vary from acute trauma admissions to post operative orthopaedic patient care.  

We are looking for positive, motivated and caring nurses with a keen interest Orthopaedic nursing. Having a positive team culture is essential in ensuring the efficient running of the unit and ensuring positive experiences and outcomes for patients.

This requires excellent communication between the multidisciplinary team and the nursing team.  As such this role needs individuals with great communications skills, who are adaptable, work well under pressure and who are excellent team players.

Ideally the successful candidate will have orthopaedic experience and a willingness to support and share your knowledge with students and junior members of the team. However candidates with  a keen interest in Orthopaedic nursing would also be encouraged to apply.

Preceptorship will be offered to the successful candidates and opportunities for further education and support. Knowledge of our computer system Cerner is an advantage but not essential.
