Job overview

An exciting opportunity has developed for an  experienced clinical support worker to join the elective team on the Clatterbridge site.

M2 Orthopaedic is a 20 bedded ring fenced elective orthopaedic ward. All of our patients are admitted for surgery.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the nursing staff in providing pre and postoperative care for all of our patients.

Experience within care is essential and the care certificate although not essential is desirable.  If you did not currently hold  a care certificate you must be willing to work towards achieving it.

Due to the nature of elective work M2 Orthopaedic has quieter periods, and during this time it is expected that staff will be moved to support our colleagues in Arrowe Park Hospital.  A professional approach is required and expected when asked to move.

Main duties of the job

To assist Registered Nurses and other members of the multidisciplinary team in implementing patients’ care plan. Also undertake some clerical and domestic duties to ensure a safe environment.
