An exciting and rewarding opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and motivated nurse to join the forward thinking diabetes specialist nurse team at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital  

If you are dynamic, organised, work well within the multidisciplinary team and have an interest in developing a career with diabetes, we would like to hear from you. 

A suitable induction and opportunities for development will be offered in this role. 

 

 

Main duties of the job

The post will involve working daily within an inpatient and outpatient environment. This motivated and dynamic nurse will be required to help manage care within diabetes and be able to adapt to change within the evolving service.

The post holder will also contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures within their sphere of responsibility and where appropriate, will actively participate in training and education programmes, patient support groups, research, clinical audit and service evaluation.

You should possess excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills together with a willingness to learn and display a passion for delivering high quality person centred care and support to diabetes patients and their families. You will work in an environment in which flexibility and team working are key components.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

 

Working for our organisation

Our aim is to be an innovative, responsive, and patient focused service, delivering high quality care. The post holder will work as part of a wider nursing and administration team to support the clinical management of patients presenting within diabetes.

Working closely with Medical colleagues, within both Primary and Secondary Care, the post holder will also support the further development of services and the progression of new initiatives.
