Job overview

Main duties of the job

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 3  HCSW to join our team on our treatment ward  on Ward 22, at the mental health unit, Royal Glamorgan Hospital . The post is 30 hours a week.  We are a 14 bedded adult  unit providing person centered care for people suffering with significant mental health difficulties and associated challenging presentations.

The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with the qualified staff to ensure that a high standard of care is maintained across the unit, and  be expected to demonstrate a genuine interest in this field of nursing, displaying  excellent people skills such as communication.   They will be expected to work as part of a team, ensuring the delivery of high quality person centered patient care.

Staff working within this environment are afforded the opportunity to experience diverse mental illnesses.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post, however not essential; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
