This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic, passionate and committed Pharmacists to support our pharmacy services here in CTMUHB.
In this stimulating role you will work closely with, and be supported by, highly skilled and experienced pharmacy teams. You will be supported to build your clinical knowledge and experience in different specialities. You will also contribute to on call, weekend and bank holiday rotas.
This fixed-term post has a formal developmental opportunity which will include undertaking the distance learning clinical diploma.
We welcome applications from newly qualified Pharmacists registering in Aug 2024 or experienced Pharmacists ready for a new challenge.
Your experience will allow you to develop a full appreciation of all the pharmacy services a Health Board offers. As such, you will be expected to rotate around different sites including primary care, community hospitals, prison to experience service provision in secure environments.
Main duties of the job
- The post holder will provide a safe and effective clinical pharmacy and ward-based medicines management service to clinical area(s) and advise medical staff and nurses on pharmacy matters.
- Your experience will allow you to develop a full appreciation of all the pharmacy services a Health Board offers. As such, you will be expected to rotate around different sites including primary care, community hospitals and prison services to experience service provision in secure environments. Acute site clinical rotations could include medicine, admissions, surgery, trauma and orthopaedics, frailty and palliative care
- The post holder must comply with current legislation and UHB policies. The recommendations contained within the Code of Ethics as issued by the General Pharmaceutical Council and the obligations in the Standards of Good Professional Practice will be upheld at all time
- The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply

Essential criteria
- Vocational Master's Degree in Pharmacy
- Registered with GPhC
- Evidence of CPD
Desirable criteria
- Member or RPS
Experience

- 1 year Trainee Pharmacist Program completion
- Experience of Audit/Project work

- Hospital Pharmacy Experience
