Job overview

An opportunity has arisen for two candidates to join our Housekeeping Services at Royal Glamorgan Hospital.  The roles' will support  part time hours based across a rota of seven days.  

The role will  support the Facilities (Hotel Services) team in delivering Housekeeping and Catering services to the National Standards for these services in NHS Wales,  HIW standard 5 and 9 and Organisational Standards.  To assist in developing, maintaining and promoting the highest standards of service delivery and team working practices; and helping to maintain open, effective communication. 

Main duties of the job

The role will also assist in developing, maintaining and promoting the highest standards of service delivery and team working practices; and helping to maintain open, effective communication. 

  • Work within the Health Board, to undertake duties as designated by the Hotel Services Supervisor.
  • Maintaining a high standard of environmental cleanliness
  • To observe and maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene, confidentiality, courtesy and consideration to all patients and         fellow  employees;                                    

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
