Job overview
We are looking for a Unified Communications Manager supporting the Royal Glamorgan Hospital and surrounding area to join our Digital team at CTMUHB.
You will support the voice and data networking services at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital and surrounding sites.
You will support the installation, configuration, testing, and optimisation of the voice and data network, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

Main duties of the job
Act as a specialist in the delivery of the Voice and Data services at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital and surrounding sites.
Support the maintenance and delivery of high-quality IT Voice and Data Communications Services at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital and surrounding sites, ensuring that the services are fully operational at all times and configured to provide optimum service.
Support specialist Voice & Data projects that impact clinical and non-clinical areas at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital and surrounding sites.
Provide operational support in the management and maintenance of all CTMUHB Voice and Data Systems at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital and surrounding sites.

Education/Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Relevant BSc or equivalent experience, with evidence of specialist knowledge acquired through training and experience.
- Voice and data network experience, acquired in a relevant role.
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge and experience of Cisco ISE, ASA, Firepower and DNA, Solarwinds, other relevant management and monitoring tools.
- Knowledge and experience of Mitel MCE and other relevant management tools.
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of working in a technical support role and proven experience in the development and support of IT systems.
- Experience of taking a lead role in developing and implementing IT systems and services.
Desirable criteria
- Experience working within the NHS
