Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and professional individual to develop  professionally within the role of Deputy Ward Manager Ward B2, Ysbyty Cwm Rhondda.

The post is a Permanent appointment, with a 37.5 hour contract as Deputy Ward Manager and we are looking for an enthusiastic individual, who has the ability and passion to work within our friendly ward team.

Ysbyty Cwm Rhondda is continuously expanding its services and we require a Deputy Ward Manager who has the ambition to help drive these changes and help expand the services we offer.

A commitment to undertake ongoing training and development is essential.

We offer ward based training so you should be motivated, keen to learn and ready to embrace change. Our commitment to you is to provide the environment for this to happen and ensure that you are part of our development plan.

Knowing that you’re making a difference to people’s lives is rewarding in itself. But our role offers much more than that.  As well as helping you grow and develop your talent, we want you to feel proud of where you work and what you do.

Ysbyty Cwm Rhondda is a Community Hospital situated close to Tonypandy.  Within this hospital we support the acute services, which allows for discharge planning.

The work is varied and requires a good range of clinical skills and offers a degree of autonomy within a supportive and friendly environment.

Main duties of the job

We would like to hear from you if you can demonstrate your passion and commitment to the provision of high quality patient centred care.

You will be able to work and lead as part of a large multi-disciplinary team, demonstrating excellent communication skills and an ability to work effectively with the ward team in a very busy and fast paced environment to deliver excellent standards of patient care.

We encourage informal visits to allow applicants to familiarise themselves with our services and to answer any questions they may have.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
