Are you a Registered Mental Health Nurse looking for a new opportunity as a deputy ward manager to work in an organisation that will help you to develop and achieve your goals to become the best you can be? If so, you're in luck! An exciting opportunity for a Deputy Ward Manager has arisen within the Bellevue ward in St Cadoc's Hospital.
You will join our team at Bellevue Ward which is a 6 bedded, locked rehabilitation ward for women with complex emotional needs, based within St Cadoc's Hospital in Caerleon. We welcome applications from outside of Wales, as well experienced nurses. We adopt a flexible/blended approach to rostering, including 12 hour shifts, to ensure that you are able to manage your work/life balance, so tell us what you can work and we will try to accommodate your needs.
Main duties of the job
The Deputy Ward Manager is a senior member of the inpatient team and will be responsible for the care coordination of patients and support the Ward Manager with the day to day clinical management of the ward, have excellent communication skills, be highly motivated and have the ability to respond effectively to arising mental and physical health needs. They will provide sound clinical practice and guidance to junior staff, be adaptable, and capable of delivering a high standard of care.
We will ensure that you have access to both managerial and clinical supervision, and actively support individual well-being whether it be a chat with one of our Well-being Connectors or accessing our Occupational Health services.
