Job overview
An exciting permanent, part time opportunity has arisen for a Ward Assistant to join the busy stroke rehabilitation team based at Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr University Hospital. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, adaptable and conscientious individual; the applicant will be supporting all members of the multi-disciplinary team on the ward. The applicant will undertake a range of tasks as part of the job role, some of which include maintaining hygiene standards and infection control guidelines, such as cleaning of equipment and maintaining efficient stock levels on the ward. The nurse in charge may allocate tasks as deemed urgent that require prioritisation.as part of your working day.
Main duties of the job
The role involves working on a busy ward, maintaining stock levels and complying with all infection control duties.
Previous experience of working within an acute hospital environment or a similar setting would be an advantage, including a current infection control certificate.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
