An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Project Manager within the Health Boards Digital, Data & Technology Directorate, Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB).

As a member of the dynamic and innovative Digital, Data & Technology Directorate, you will be a member of the Digital Programme & Projects team. The projects you will work on form part of the Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (ePMA) Programme and will allow you to build on your current skills and experience and provide you with opportunities for personal and professional development.
You will work with a wide range of stakeholders from varying professions across the health board, other NHS and 3rd party organisation/suppliers. This will include the requirement to attend sites regularly, sometimes at short notice. If you are looking for a new challenge in a prosperous department then this role is for you.
Main duties of the job
The Senior Project Manager will work as a member of the digital programmes team to support the realisation of the health board’s Integrated Medium-Term Plan (IMTP). The Senior Project Manager will provide overall management and ensure the successful delivery of various digital projects across clinical sites, through the defined stages of PRINCE 2 methodology. This includes the full delivery of the project including planning, executing, implementing, monitoring, and closing, to the required standard of quality and within the specified time and cost.
You will be responsible for leading and managing project teams, providing task management, mentoring and support training requirements as appropriate. You will identify and manage risks associated with projects, using relevant project documentation and developed approaches/strategies. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for producing a result that is capable of achieving the benefits and performance improvements as defined in the project business case.
The post holder will need extensive knowledge and experience in project management and documentation. We are looking for an individual with experience of delivering complex projects to join our growing team of professional digital project managers.
This post is fixed term until 30 June 2028 to cover the needs of the service
