Please be advised that there is a temporary top up for Bands 1,2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the top up to the  living wage of £12 per hour - £23,465 per annum. This temporary top up will be in place until  the annual pay uplift for 2024/25 is confirmed

Job overview

We are excited to be able to offer an opportunity for an experienced Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Specialist to join our team at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, working within a well established, forward thinking and Team of the year HPMA 2024 award winning workforce and OD function. 

This is a sought after role due to the variety, autonomy and the wide-reaching relationships with senior leaders within the Health Board and working with partners across NHS Wales and Welsh government. The successful candidate will be crucial in leading the delivery of our EDI agenda within the People Plan, delivering against the objectives within the recently published Strategic Equality Plan and should have extensive experience of working in a complex organisation, preferably but not limited to a health/NHS environment.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will report to the  Assistant Director of WOD and will be the most Senior EDI professional in the organisation and the point of contact for all complex matters within the agreed portfolio. This includes taking a lead on system wide changes and improvements, leading the development and delivery of the WOD, Organisational and National/Legal priorities and providing expert advice to individuals, teams, the ExecCo and the Board. The post holder will also lead on a strategic projects across the health board in accordance with our People Plan.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
