Business Partner Accountant - Out Of Hospitals & Partnerships
An exciting opportunity has arisen to support the Assistant Director Of Finance covering the Health Boards “Out Of Hospitals” Budgets and the Gwent wide Regional Partnership Budgets.
The Gwent wide Regional Partnership Budgets cover the Regional Integration Fund (both Revenue and Capital), a number of ring-fenced Funds and Neuro-divergence and Further Faster Funding.
The Regional Partnership Revenue budget totals over £30m. This role will involve working closely with all partners to look at resources that are available across the wider Health & Social Care system and how efficiencies can be identified through wider transformational change. Strong governance will be a key element of this role.
The Gwent Partnership also have a Capital allocation of £27.2m for 2024/25.
You will need a very pro-active approach and be able to develop excellent working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. You will need to be highly motivated and organised and will need to provide sound business and financial advice both independently, and as part of a wider Finance team.

The post-holder will be expected to implement an annual budget setting process and to provide financial advice to all interested parties on a wide range of issues.

The post holder is a senior Finance professional within the Aneurin Bevan LHB They will be expect to be a member of the Senior Finance Team, and are responsible for leading and delivering WAG financial policy and value for money requirements. The post holder will ensure the delivery of an efficient and effective business partner financial service.
The post holder will provide leadership, strategic and professional management combined with operational responsibility for the delivery of business partner financial services and advice working with the Assistant Director of Finance, executive directors and other senior managers in the development and delivery of robust financial processes and controls, to oversee the provision of a modernised, patient focused service across the LHB by providing innovative, pro-active advice and support to the organisation on financial and service strategies and approaches.
The post holder will provide vision and leadership in the development and implementation of the overall finance agenda.
To lead on specific areas of work across the LHB in line with the LHB financial strategy.
This role provides direct support to the Assistant Director(s) of Finance in the delivery of the financial plan and will deputise in their absence.
