Job overview

An exciting new opportunity has arisen within the Hospital Division Team as Finance Business Partner for the Urgent Care Division of Aneurin Bevan UHB. We are looking for a commercially focused and experienced Accountant who is enthusiastic, self-motivated and has an appetite for helping to drive future transformational change.

The post holder will directly support the Division's Senior Leadership Team, assisting them to meet their financial challenges and provide influence and financial support. This would include the opportunity to be involved in Health Board-wide initiatives and projects.  The role involves maintaining excellent working relationships with a wide range of Finance, Operational and Clinical stakeholders; at all levels and in a multi-site environment.

Applicants should possess a good understanding of financial and governance requirements, experience of managing a high performing team and have the ability to demonstrate wider business partnering skills.

You will ideally have management and business partnering accounting experience in the NHS, or a similar large organisation; in an environment dealing with complex issues. You will have excellent analytical and communication skills and be able to maintain excellent relationships with both finance and non-finance staff, with the ability to present financial data to a variety of individuals and groups in order to influence decision making.

The post-holder will be expected to implement an annual budget setting process and to provide financial advice to all interested parties on a wide range of issues.

The individual will be expected to make a significant contribution to the development and implementation of financial policies, which facilitate the achievement of the Health Board’s financial objectives.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
