Are you a nurse who would be keen to work in a busy, fast-paced environment?  

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurse to join our highly experienced and motivated scrub team. You will have the opportunity to work in our emergency maternity theatres and our maternity High Dependency Unit.

We are seeking someone to join the maternity department who is able to work well in a multi-disciplinary team environment. We seek to maintain high standards of care for our patients and are looking for someone who will enhance our department.

You are welcome to have an informal visit.

Aneurin Bevan University Health Board supports approximately 5500 births per year and covers a wide geographical area offering services to a diverse community. 

We have all our acute services based at the Grange university Hospital which is a new state of the art, purpose built hospital offering single rooms for all women/ birth people for antenatal, birth and postnatal care.  In this acute setting we also have a very successful, tranquil along side birth centre averaging approximately 70-80 births per month, offering choice and meeting the needs of both Obstetric led and Midwifery led women/birth people and their families. 

 There is access to training to support your professional development and enhance your theatre skills.  

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will  demonstrate an ability to support the multi professional team,  care provision for women/birth people and their families. 

Demonstrate the ability to  communicate openly and respectfully with women/birth people and their families, with colleagues at all levels within the organisation and multi-agency groups.

To ensure the provision of effective efficient and appropriate high quality peri operative patient care

To support the band 6 in leading the anaesthetic practitioner service.

To promote evidence based best practice and act as an accountable role model and clinical expert.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
