Job overview

An exciting opportunity has become available for HCSW’s to join our evolving vaccination service. We are an innovative team, who have a passion for improving the health of our whole population through partnership working across a variety of community settings such as, patient’s own homes, community centres, GP practices, nurseries, schools, care homes, places of worship, out-patient departments and hospital wards. We are passionate about reaching into our communities as part of our health inequalities eradication, ensuring that everyone can access vaccinations and immunisations.

As a HCSW within our service, you will work collaboratively throughout Primary Care and support the registered nursing team to achieve high standards of patient-centred care.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant must be committed to improving the patient experience and ensuring the high standards that we expect for our patients needs are met. You will be expected to have the flexibility to work within all areas of the service to meet our population and service needs, full training will be provided.

The successful applicant will have an understanding of the HCSW Code of Conduct and work under the supervision of the registered nursing team.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualification / Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Level 3 NVQ/QCF or other relevant qualification
  • Significant experience of working as a HCSW (or a similar or relevant clinical role)
Desirable criteria
  • Evidence of continuing personal development relevant to the role in health care.
