As a Senior Pharmacy Technician in our team, you will play a crucial role in our vaccination service, working closely with healthcare professionals and community partners. Your expertise and dedication will help us achieve our mission of making vaccinations accessible to all. You will be responsible for providing operational oversight of pharmacy services, and supporting the vaccination programme, in liaison with the Lead Pharmacist. You will ensure good clinical and operational governance in the vaccination service, in line with national and regional guidance.

Main duties of the job
Main duties of the job
- Vaccine Logistics Management: Oversee day-to-day management of vaccine logistics, ensuring efficient distribution and minimising wastage.
- Team Leadership: Line manage the vaccination service pharmacy team, including staff training and development.
- Pharmaceutical Advice: Provide pharmaceutical advice to clinical leads, nurse leads, and vaccinators based on up-to-date local and national best practices and guidelines.
- Provision Management: Lead and manage the provision of vaccines to appropriate sites across ABUHB, including vaccination sites and external partners.
- Protocol Development: Develop, revise, and adapt protocols and operating procedures as necessary.
- Cold Chain Maintenance: Ensure the safe storage and handling of vaccines by maintaining the cold chain.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

NVQ Level 3, B Tech or equivalent

Registered pharmacy technician with General Pharmaceutical council (GPhC)

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
