Job overview

We are excited to be able to offer this opportunity as a fully qualified accountant role within the Finance Business Partnering Team that supports the Clinical Support Services Division of ABUHB.

We would also consider this as a development opportunity for existing and experienced Finance staff, in line with Annex 21 of the NHS Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions. 

Applications via Annex 21 will be accepted for candidates who are on final stages of their professional finance CCAB or CIMA qualification. Payment will be in line with Annex 21 i.e. 70% Band 7 in the first year and 75% Band 7 in the second year, subject to criteria within the development plan being met.  Internal Band 6 staff taking up an annex 21 band 7 post would not suffer a detriment to their pay. 

The role is based on the Royal Gwent Hospital site, with an opportunity to work in an agile manner across all the Health Board's sites and remotely. You will be the Finance lead responsible for several Directorates. Main duties of the job

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual to join the Clinical Support Services Divisional Finance Team within Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. 

The Finance team are responsible for providing high quality financial advice and support to budget holders within the Divisions of the organisation.

The post holder will be required to work closely with budget holders in order to understand and support the service in delivering on their financial obligations.

Post holders may be required to work across several Divisions depending on demand. 

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role: Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
