Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Occupational Therapy Support Worker to join the Occupational Therapy service in ABUHB.
The post holder will work under the direction of a team of qualified, Occupational Therapists on Ty Cyfannol Adult inpatient ward, with outreach into the community.
The post holder will be expected to work Monday - Friday, with a variety of 7.5 hour shifts between 8am-8pm.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post, Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

- Experience in health and/or social care
- Experience of being a therapy assistant or support worker
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working within mental health
- Experience of working with patients in a group setting
- Experience of working with people who have challenging behaviours.
- Experience of working in distressing or emotional situations.
Knowledge and Understanding
Essential criteria
- Ability to understand and explain the essential role of OT within Mental Health
- Ability to transfer learned knowledge into practical situations
Desirable criteria
- Basic understanding of how mental health conditions can affect peoples level of functioning
