Job overview

We are pleased to offer an opportunity to join the Rostering Application (GRS) Team in Digital to support with development and configuration of the GRS System to support the Centralised Scheduling Project and and the implementation of Skillstream.

The successful candidate will work under the direction of the GRS Application Owner to support ongoing workstreams in line with the Trusts Digital Strategy.

 

Main duties of the job

The purpose of this role is to set-up, implement and maintain the GRS Rostering system to meet the requirements of the Trust, managers, clinicians and users.

Primarily responsible for the analysis of highly complex shift patterns and rules in order to develop, test, deploy, maintain and support individual end user requirements that fit in with the benefits realisation plan agreed as an integral part of the GRS Functionality Roadmap Business Case.

To configure, test, implement and maintain GRS-Skillstream integrate workforce management system.

To act as a primary point of communication in relation to GRS-Skillstream system configuration processes and any issues during project life-cycle.

Provide a training resource to users of the GRS-Skillstream integrated system. This will involve preparing for and delivery planned structured training to groups and the provision of one to one guidance and development.

Ensuring provision of cover for Rostering Services Manager for project-related responsibilities.

The GRS Application & Rostering team  interact with many other teams across different directorates of the organisation, including technical and non-technical disciplines and operational and non-operational staff.

We are collaborative , open and supportive team, consisting of staff with a wealth of understanding of many roles and systems across the organisation. However, we also draw on the expertise of multiple specialists across the Digital directorate  and our operational colleagues to achieve the shared goals.

The successful post holder will be able to work from any of our Trust sites across the region, with hybrid working available in agreement with your line manager.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Extensive experience and expertise of a rostering system such as GRS or Degree in Management or IM&T subject.

Skills and Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Confidently articulate highly complex and contentious information to large groups who do not have a technical background and be challenged.
  • Able to provide technical specialism training to other Directorates.
Desirable criteria
  • In-depth knowledge of NHS Policies and Procedures.

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experienced in leading technical projects.
  • Experienced in being a technical specialist for an organisational wide system.
  • Experienced in writing policies and procedures for business change.
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of rota planning and implementation.
  • Experienced in Project Management methods and tools.
