EEAST is seeking a clinician to join their multi-disciplinary team that will delver Occupational Health Service to all staff.  This is an exciting opportunity to join a new team and develop the service.

The post holder will support the delivery of high-quality Occupational Health to NHS Trust employees and external clients, to promote their health and wellbeing  and safeguard their health from risks arising from their working environment.

The post holder will be involved in the development of services to ensure the delivery of evidence-based practice with the highest possible standards of care.

Previous experience in Occupational Health will be a key asset in this role.

 

Main duties of the job

The main responsibilities of this role will require the post holder to support the delivery of high-quality Occupational Health to NHS Trust employees and external clients, to promote their health and wellbeing and safeguard their health from risks arising from their working environment. The post holder will be involved in the development of services to ensure the delivery of evidence-based practice with the highest possible standards of care.

The post holder will be required, as follows

  • To work collaboratively within the specialist Multidisciplinary Team (MDT).
  • To work with the MDT to promote an efficient, effective service for employees, PHU, and external clients.
  • To have a role in the responsibility for the management of employees care pathway through the OHWS.
  • As a registered OH Nurse or Allied Health Care Professional, you will assist in the organisation, development, promotion, and delivery of the Occupational Health Service.
  • To provide specialist advice to employees and their managers, to support staff experiencing health conditions to successfully remain in, or return to, work.
  • Work autonomously and within the MDT Team delivering individualised health related advice.

We are an NHS Ambulance Trust that provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport in Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.

We offer non-emergency patient transport services in parts of our region. We can help patients who need non-emergency transport to and from hospital, treatment centres and other similar facilities.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Relevant clinical degree or equivalent
  • Post graduate study in relevant subject or equivalent experience

Skills & Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Computer literate and able to use Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or similar packages.
  • Effective communicator with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Good organisational and prioritisation skills.
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of NHS policy, both locally and nationally.

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of vaccination delivery programmes
  • Experience within Occupational Health setting
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of dealing with difficult situations
  • Previous experience working within the NHS or other health care organisation.
