Job overview
The post holder will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the clinical audit and training department within the EOC.
Main duties of the job
Ensuring effective delivery of training and education programme to new and current CAS staff and ensuring a robust, fair, and effective quality assurance process for call clinical aspects of the EOC
The post holder will also be required to continually review the established systems and audits on a departmental wide basis to ensure that the organisation meets its local and national data quality standards.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Managerial qualification to degree level of equivalent experience.
- NMC Registered Nurse or HCPC Registered Paramedic.
- Clinical Coordinator trained (or willingness to complete in first 6 months).
Desirable criteria
- EMD National Instructor Certification or willingness to complete.
Skills and Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Ability to plan, implement and manage the department, strategy, policies, and procedure to ensure that corporate objectives and targets are being met.
- Sound clinical judgement and ability to challenge and provide constructive feedback to poor clinical skills/knowledge.
- Outstanding prioritisation, leadership, and critical thinking skills consistently.
Experience
Essential criteria
- 2 years’ experience in either the EOC or a healthcare training environment.
- Ability to create, develop and improve training and auditing plans.
Desirable criteria
- Previous line management experience.
