Are you a pharmacist looking for new challenges in a senior role?
We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic registered pharmacist to join our friendly pharmacy team. This post is full time, 37.5 hours over five days, Monday to Friday. You will be based in Norwich. Your main role will be to work with the multidisciplinary team to provide a clinical pharmacy service to the in-patient wards, and clinical support to junior pharmacists and management of staff. You must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
Good communication, problem solving, prioritisation and organisational skills are essential.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will;
- Provide advanced clinical pharmacy and medicines related care to service users with mental illness or learning disabilities in inpatient and community settings.
- Be involved in the provision of a clinical and responsible for the operational pharmacy service to a clinical team in a specified geographical area.
- Be responsible for providing pharmacy and medicines related care to allocated teams to ensure medicines prescribed are safe, effective, optimised and appropriate.
- Lead on service development and projects as required by the department/ service area, working with partner organisations / primary care.
- Provide professional pharmacist support to the site you are based and mentor other pharmacists in the trust (including trainees) as required.
- Undertake line management responsibility for pharmacy staff.
- Have a responsibility to educate and develop the pharmacy and wider healthcare workforce as part of a teaching organisation.
- Divide your time between operational management, hands-on service provision (clinical pharmacy provision to a number of wards/units) and medicines information service.

**This post attracts a recruitment premium of £3,000 (pro-rata for part time roles). Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Master’s degree in Pharmacy (MPharm) or equivalent
- Member of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Postgraduate Diploma qualification
Desirable criteria
- Independent Prescriber or working towards an Independent Prescribing qualification.
- Member of, or working towards, membership of the College of Mental Health Pharmacy Qualification
Experience
Essential criteria
- Postgraduate employment as a pharmacist
- Specialist mental health medicines use
Desirable criteria
- Management of staff
