Service Manager – Eating Disorders Norfolk and Waveney

An exciting  opportunity has arisen to work in the Eating Disorders Service across Norfolk and Waveney to learn new skills and gain experience. We are looking for a dynamic leader to operationally manage the team which comprises medical and psychology teams, mental health practitioners, and support workers.

You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the service with a focus on patient quality, staff wellbeing and performance improvements. The role will be based from either Norwich, Great Yarmouth or Kings Lynn with some travel between sites. Flexible working will be considered.

You will also be responsible for building upon the good practice in the service, continuing with the development of our ARFID pathway, our day treatment centre The Lighthouse and supporting us to reach accreditation. 

You will be well supported by Clinical Team Managers,  MDT and the wider Care Group leadership team in working towards the aims set out in the Care Group’s Quality Strategy.

Main duties of the job

  • To fully support the Service Director and other Service Managers with the strategic and operational planning and delivery of care within Specialist Services .
  • To be responsible for ensuring the effective management of the day-to-day operational / clinical issues arising within the Eating Disorders Service Line
  • To actively monitor performance, quality, safety and service development within their service areas, in line with locality and Trust-wide policies and protocols.
  • To continuously improve performance with key performance indicators and ensure that their team(s) are providing a responsive, high quality service to clients, their families and carers and meeting commissioner and stakeholder expectations
  • To model behaviours that put patient care at the heart of service delivery .
