NHS AfC: Band 8a

Job overview

**Please note, the NHS salary scales have recently changed and are expected to come into effect in October. New starters joining the Trust before this time will commence on the old payscales and will move to the new ones once they have been finalised**

Do you love it when digital systems actually make patient care measurably safer, faster and more clinically effective?

Do you know how to bring the tools and techniques of improvement science to bear on difficult problems?

We are looking for an EPR Benefits Lead to ensure the successful identification, validation and realisation of the benefits of our new Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system. You'll join the Improvement Academy team dedicated to leading and supporting the roll-out of the HDFT Impact philosophy, Improvement Operating Model, and all related coaching, training, facilitation, delivery, management and reporting for our new approach to continuous improvement. With your multi-award winning colleagues in the  Academy you will aim to put improvement science at the heart of the introduction of our EPR to ensure that we realise all the detailed benefits that we have planned.

This is a new role in a new team, who are already achieving great things. Come and shape the digital future of care for patients at HDFT.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for the successful realisation of a set of EPR benefits that will require transformational change across a number of teams, departments, pathways and systems.

This role involves collaborating with project leads and teams across the organisation to design, structure and deliver a benefits realisation model for our EPR. This will entail building on the existing plans we have articulated in our full business case and moving them on, with careful stakeholder engagement, into mapping, delivery and evaluation. You'll maintain oversight of the full benefits strategy and supporting plans, fostering innovation to achieve cash-releasing and non-cash-releasing gains along clinical and administrative pathways, and in alignment with our True North ambitions.

Working for our organisation

Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust (HDFT) cares for the population in Harrogate and the local area, as well as across North Yorkshire, Leeds and many parts of the North East.

At HDFT we provide outstanding care to both our patients and our staff and we value Kindness, Integrity, Teamwork and Equality. If you’re looking for an interesting and rewarding career in the NHS, where you can make a real difference to patients’ lives, HDFT could be the place for you!
