If you are enthusiastic, dynamic and highly motivated, seeking to drive forward the provision of high-quality care  then this post is for you. We are seeking to appoint an experienced Senior Nurse to join our established Matron team.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an exceptional nurse with a proven track record of supporting the delivery of  safe, effective and patient focused care to join our Long term and Unscheduled Care (LTUC) Directorate.

The successful candidate will work closely alongside other members of the HDFT Matron Team to provide a 7-day service.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • • Registered Nurse. 1st level with current NMC Registration.
  • • Master’s level qualification or equivalent, or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • • Professional and clinical competence.
Desirable criteria
  • • Recognised leadership development training

Experience

Essential criteria
  • • Significant experience at senior clinical / managerial level on a hospital ward.
  • • Experience of working as a clinical leader
  • • Proven leadership and management skills.
Desirable criteria
  • • In-depth experience in a variety of hospital based units.
  • • Involvement in clinical audit and/or research
