Job overview

The York and Selby Podiatry Team are looking for a new Podiatry Assistant.

We are looking for an enthusiastic new member of the team who is passionate about providing excellent patient care. It is important that you can work as part of a team and on your own. Good communication, organisation and time management skills are also essential.  

This is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking for a change in career as all training and mentorship will be provided.

Main duties of the job

The role is interesting and varied and will include nail care in clinical settings and home visits, assisting nail surgery, Shockwave Therapy and the Diabetic Foot Clinic and working in the orthotics lab manufacturing insoles.

Essential criteria
  • Level 3 qualification / NVQ level 3 / 2 or more A levels / BTEC OND / City and Guilds (advanced/level 3)
Desirable criteria
  • Existing podiatry student
  • background in healthcare

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Administrative experience
  • Experience of working with and maintaining computer systems such as SystmOne
  • Experience of working with members of the public
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working within an NHS experience
  • Experience of working within a podiatry department
