Job overview
Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is looking for Healthcare Assistants who are passionate about delivering high quality and safe care to join our Staff Bank. We are looking for people with a background in healthcare who can bring experience and skills to our temporary staffing workforce.
Main duties of the job
As a Bank Healthcare Assistant at NHFT you will play a key role in ensuring that patients have a safe, quality journey from admission to discharge, (initial training will be provided to successful candidates). The initial training provided to successful candidates includes all Trust mandatory training and also the Care Certificate, if it has not been completed previously. It is essential individuals who apply want to further develop their skills and knowledge and are committed to lifelong learning.

You would be an integral member of our committed team of Bank Healthcare Assistants working in local hospitals in a variety of interesting assignments. We have three community hospitals, in Daventry, Wellingborough and Corby. We have two mental health hospitals at St Mary’s in Kettering and Berrywood Hospital in Northampton. Detailed job description and main responsibilities
We are especially looking for nursing assistants that feel comfortable working with / or has experience working with patients with mental health needs and enhanced supervision needs and also those with experience of physical healthcare.

Essential criteria
- Good standard of general education including Maths & English GCSE at Grades A-C or equivalent qualification
Desirable criteria
- Health and Social Care Qualification or Care Certificate
Experience and skills
Essential criteria
- Computer literate
- Recent experience in a care role
- Demonstrates good written English
- Worked in a team in a Healthcare Setting/ environment
Desirable criteria
- Previous NHS Care experience
Qualities
Essential criteria
- Willing to learn and develop
- Demonstrates Empathy including listening and personal resilience
