Kettering General Hospital are in the process of recruiting roles at our newly  renovated site, Spinneyfields in Rushden. We pride ourselves on maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our patients and staff.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Facilities Supervisor to join our new team at Spinneyfields with some work at Nene park and Kettering. 

Main duties of the job

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our facility, ensuring safe, clean and well maintained environment for all patients, visitors and employees. The role involves coordinating patient feeding services, managing relationships, supervising staff and implementing best practices. 

This will be a full time position of 37.5 hours per week; successful candidates will need to be able to work flexibly with the needs of the service. The working week will be 9-5, Monday - Friday and on occasion cover a weekend.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Competency in communicating, written and spoken, using the English Language
  • Level 2 in IT (Information Technology) skills or equivalent competency
  • Full UK Driving license
Desirable criteria
  • Experience in the use of recognised cleaning software audit packages
  • Previous Hospital/NHS cleaning experience

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Previous experience of working in a soft services (Housekeeping/Catering/Portering) environment
  • Previous supervisory / management experience
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and risk assessment
  • Knowledge of National Standards of Cleanliness
  • Knowledge of food safety management systems – HACCP
  • Knowledge and understanding of food allergens
  • Understanding of COSHH regulations and management

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Able to lead and work as part of an established team
  • Competent written and verbal communication skills in the English language
  • Prioritising own and others' workload
  • Use of cleaning equipment and chemicals (COSHH)
