Job overview

We are currently recruiting to a full time vacancy within the Outpatient Administration Team, based at Robinson Way. We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual to join our administration team working in a friendly supportive environment.

The successful candidate will be working closely with the well-established Outpatient Administration team to deliver a high level of service. You will be methodical and self-motivated, have a flexible approach and the ability to work proactively using your own initiative whilst possessing a confident and professional manner.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Mathematic Grade A-C
  • Good command of written and spoken English
Desirable criteria
  • Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent level of experience
  • NVQ Level 4 in Administration or equivalent.

Knowledge / experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience or working in a busy and demanding office/customer facing environment
  • Significant experience in Outpatients with a track record of delivery and meeting targets
  • Medway PAS – Outpatient experience
  • Be able to demonstrate a wider knowledge of the work of the NHS
  • Experience of planning and organising own workload

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Experience in the use of computerised Patient Administration System or equivalent computerised system
  • Demonstrate a high level of personal self-management and organisation
  • Demonstrate skills of tact, sensitivity when dealing with complaints and enquiries both verbally and written.
  • Ability to understand information reports, identifying trends in clinics not reflecting the agreed template.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Assertiveness skills and the confidence to deal diplomatically with a wide range of people, organisations and situations
  • ncidental contact with patients/communicates information with patients, carers relating to appointments and any adjustments made.
