Job overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 4 Clinical Administrator to provide comprehensive administrative support for the Mental Health Support Team.  The role of Clinical Administrator will be to maintain an effective office base to enable the administrative responsibilities to be carried out, whilst providing secretarial support to senior clinicians. The post holder must be flexible and use their initiative to organise their own workload, dependent on the priorities and requirements at the time. 

 

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be expected to participate in the recruitment and selection process of new team members, when required. Provide support with training any new staff, demonstrating duties to new staff members when required. Manage own workload and work independently within the service, meeting service needs.  Allocate, organise and supervise the workload of junior administration staff within the service, when required. To work closely with the Lead administrator,  Clinical Team Lead and Operational Team Lead to monitor performance data and administer clinical systems, ensuring performance reports are accurate

Knowledge & Experience

Essential criteria
  • Hold or working towards NVQ Level 3 of higher in Business Administration or equivalent experience/qualification.
  • Experience of typing and data entry.
  • Experience of taking minutes for high level meetings.
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of using Mental Health systems (ePex, SystmOne)
  • Ability to interpret data.
  • Knowledge of health systems and procedures
