The post holder will offer advice and consultation on clients’ psychological care to a range of stakeholders including non-psychologist colleagues (such as Social Workers, residential workers, education providers etc) and to other, non-professional carers (i.e. Foster Carers). The post holder will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the teams’ policies and procedures, and where appropriate utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development within the area served by the team/service.

As a senior clinician within the Mental Health Team, the post holder will be expected to display clinical leadership, inform the development of evidence-based practice to deliver high quality care and optimise service delivery, and offer advice and support to the wider team where required and indicated.

NHFT values staff development and the post holder will be supported with training and development to enable them to achieve their full potential in this role.

Working for our organisation
