Job overview

We are excited to announce a new opportunity for the role of Patient Pathway Co-ordinator based at our Newark site to work along side our other Patient pathway coordinators within the Medicine division. This position primarily involves managing our new Insourcing service on a Permanent contract. It's an ideal opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in PPC administration or eager to learn a new specialty.

As a Patient Pathway Co-ordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing our Insourcing service. This position requires excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to effectively prioritize workload. You will work closely with a highly efficient team to ensure the smooth day-to-day management of patient pathways.

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Computer literate, with experience of using a keyboard with a high level of accuracy.
  • Knowledge of NHS or service provider in general
  • Thorough knowledge of healthcare administrative systems and processes
  • Knowledge of databases, spreadsheets i.e. PAS, Excel or similar applications
  • Confidentiality and Data Protection
  • Health and Safety
  • Equality and diversity
Desirable criteria
  • Sound office clerical background providing knowledge of relevant procedures.
  • Experience of using a full range of IT/Patient data systems – As applicable to speciality

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Good general education with GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above.
  • RSA II (or equivalent)
Desirable criteria
  • ECDL
  • Association of Medical Secretaries, Practice Administrator & Receptionist diploma (AMSPAR)
  • NVQ in Customer Care
  • Institute of Health Records & Information Management Diploma (IHRIM)
  • Shorthand speeds of 80wpm
