We are looking for passionate individuals, who have a keen interest in our patient groups; the cross site department has recently returned to maintaining diagnostic targets for lung function and sleep investigations and is proud of this significant achievement and plans are now being developed to deliver sleep and respiratory care in more novel ways to patients in the surrounding community.

We are delighted to offer an opportunity for two suitable candidates to join the teams as a Specialised Respiratory Physiologist. This role will involve working in all aspects of our lung function and sleep services, to be able to support diagnosis and in some cases initiate and review the delivery of treatment.

You will possess a good BSc in Physiology or the equivalent and have or are willing to gain the ARTP practitioner qualifications in lung function and sleep.
Your skills will be most useful in performing lung function lists, with exposure to bronchial challenge testing , cardio pulmonary exercise testing , sleep diagnostics, initiation of treatment including follow up review of therapy.

- RCCP/AHCS registration

- Proficient in using wide range of diagnostic equipment, and in the recognition of faults, calibration and quality control issues.

- ARTP associate / Practitioner qualification
- Experience at providing training support to respiratory / sleep ATO's or BSc Degree Apprentice students

- Established communication skills needed to discuss patient treatment plans with patients, medical teams and other health care providers

- Evidence of experience working in diagnostic sleep physiology; diagnostic investigations and intiation of CPAP and NIV
