An exciting opportunity has arisen for  Senior Primary Care Nurse to work within our Primary Care Team at  HMP Lowdham Grange providing acute, rehabilitative and primary  care to offenders within a prison environment.

We have well-established and strong relationships with both the prison team and external partners who support us to deliver healthcare safely, effectively and efficiently.

Would you like to work closely with others as part of a wider MDT, which includes:

GPs, Psychiatrists, Specialist Community Practitioners, Pharmacists, Mental Health & Substance Misuse Practitioners, Learning disability services, Psychologists and a multitude other allied professionals

We deliver a wide range of positive health opportunities to individuals in custody, which is equal to and often above what is offered in the community.

Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust believe in investing in our staff, where there is lots of opportunity and support for progression for the right candidates in both Internal & External training. 

This post is eligible for a Golden Hello payment of £2,750 for new starters who are external to the Trust.  This is payable in 3 instalments over a 2 year period.  This payment is only eligible to new starters who do not already hold a contract of employment with the Trust.  This post also includes paid enhancements for unsocial hours working during night, weekends and bank holidays.

The Offender Health Directorate is one of the largest and most successful providers of prison healthcare in the UK. The Directorate provide physical, mental health and substance misuse healthcare services in prisons across the East Midlands, Lincolnshire & Leicestershire.

The Directorate provides healthcare to 9 prisons. You are part of a large peer group of 400+ healthcare professionals with access to peer support, supervision and excellent opportunities for learning and development. We also offer services within the Personality Disorder Pathway, including Therapeutic Communities (within prisons), Community and Prison Personality Disorder services and specialist Veteran Services.

We are committed to working in partnership with prison services, national probation service other healthcare providers and our criminal justice system partners to improve health, support justice to reduce re-offending behaviour. The Offender Health Team truly believes it can make a difference to the lives of offenders by offering consistent, high-quality care in primary, mental health and substance misuse services that are equivalent to health services delivered outside of Prison.
