The East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EMAS) provides Emergency, Urgent and Non-Emergency pre-hospital care and transport across six counties (Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire & Rutland and Northamptonshire).


 

Job overview

The post holder is primarily responsible for reviewing emergency telephone calls prioritised through NHS Pathways.

Responsible for collating data to be analysed for production of NHS Pathways quality assurance standard reports in order to establish areas of focus for training.

Responsible for quality assurance of all qualified NHS Pathways EOC staff by supporting them to practice safely and effectively and meet the standards required for the Trust accreditation status and so ensuring high standards of professionalism are maintained at all times.

Successful applicants will be invited for interviews.  As part of your training you will be required  to complete a mentorship period. 

Main duties of the job

An number of opportunities have arisen to play a key role in the Audit Team at East Midlands Ambulance Service based at our Nottingham Emergency Operations Centre. We are looking to recruit to the following:

x 1 EOC Auditor (Non-Clinical) - full-time/37.5 hours per week

x 1 EOC Auditor (Non-Clinical) - part-time/21.5 hours per week

The EOC Auditor is primarily responsible for supporting the Emergency Operations Centre in the delivery of a high quality service. By auditing calls retrospectively following  the performance standards as set by NHS Pathways, the Auditor will provide strength based feedback and future forward feedback to aid the continued professional development of colleagues. You will need to be NHS Pathways certified and need to evidence 6 months proven higher level compliance. 

As an NHS Pathways certified staff member, you will be required to support in EOC through answering 999 calls when required. The post holder will be based at EOC Nottingham, and need to be flexible with the ability to also work from home if and when required.
