At NUH we have a well-established junior trust grade programme which will enable you to build your clinical skills and enhance your CV in readiness for a training post.

Our successful Trust Grade Programme currently employs around 200 junior doctors across both medicine and surgery divisions, ranging in grade from F2 to CT level. Rotations are every four months, April/ August/ December and you will gain skills, experience and training as you go.

You will be assigned your first rotation and then you will have the opportunity to discuss your particular interests for all future rotations and submit preferences. Your first rotation allocation may be to either a medical specialty or a surgical specialty, dependant on vacancies.

Please specify in the supporting information section of the application form whether you are primarily interested in medical or surgical specialties.

We are pleased to able to offer short stay on-site accommodation available at our City Hospital campus for our new starters. More information will be available on request.

This role offers you the opportunity to join NUH as a Trust Grade doctor for 12 months; with potential to extend for a further 12 months by mutual agreement. You will join as an F2 or CT (dependant on experience) working within a specialty and rotating every four months.

This post would also be suitable for you if you are unsure which direction you wish to take your career and want time to consider your future direction, while still working and acquiring additional skills and experience.  This post will also be of interest to you if you have elected to take time away from your training progression in the interests of work-life balance but now wish to re-establish a foothold in the profession.

You will be allocated a clinical supervisor upon commencement in post and study leave will be available to support your progress, as well as ongoing professional and pastoral support from a dedicated team.

*** Due to the high volumes of applications we receive this vacancy will close at midday (12pm) on Sunday 20th October. ***

We are unable to re-open applications for late submissions. We will also not be able to provide feedback at the shortlisting stage.
