Loxley Ward, based at the City Campus, plays a vital role in the admission of all planned surgical patients on site, including Gynaecology and Gynae-oncology cases. We care for both inpatient and day-case patients following surgery, providing a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

Main duties of the job

Respond to enquiries in person or via telephone in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner.

Create and maintain patient health record files in accordance with Trust procedures.

Ensure strict confidentiality of all patient information, adhering to Information Governance (IG) policies at all times.

Retrieve and return patient health records from departments across the Trust as required.

Coordinate interpreting services for patients and families when necessary.

Accurately input and update patient information on relevant hospital IT systems.
-
Arrange and confirm follow-up appointments for patients, ensuring clear communication with both staff and patients.

Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming reception area at all times.

Desirable criteria
- Previous NHS receptionist experience ideal
