An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Assistant Technical Officer to join the Pharmacy Sterile Production Unit Team based at the Queens Medical Centre at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH). You will be joining a team of hardworking and dedicated professionals who formulate, prepare and manufacture medicines for our most vulnerable patients and external customers.

You will be required to support our manufacturing teams by assembling and checking starting materials prior to manufacture, sanitise starting materials prior to transfer into cleanroom environments and label and inspect finished products. This interesting and varied role will require you prioritise work effectively, work to tight deadlines to achieve targets and to respond to patient and customer needs. You should be able work under pressure, prioritise and organise workloads and be able to work alone or as part of a bigger team.

Training and Qualifications

- Able to learn new skills
- 4 GCSEs at level 3 (Grade D) or above in English, Maths, and 2 other subjects (or awaiting GCSE exam results)

- Possession or working towards an NVQ level 2 qualification in Pharmacy Service Skills that is approved by the GPhC (or equivalent GPhC pharmacy dispensing qualification)
