Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Responding urgently to pottering tasks 

Ensure patient information is present and correct 

Ensure timely and safe transport for patients 

Good and clear communication with patients and ward staff 

Excellent teamworking and communication across the medicine flow team

Communication

Essential criteria
  • Ability to use digital programmes and mobile devices to communicate information
  • Clear and direct communication using a variety of styles w
  • Excellent use of non-verbal communication using body language eye contact and facial expressions to interact and calm patients who may be anxious
Desirable criteria
  • Previous experience and in depth knowledge of using various digital platforms and digital devices to the extend of the devices usage
  • Previous experience and training in communicating with anxious or confused patients

Teamworking

Essential criteria
  • Ability to work within a large dynamic team and contribute to team goals
  • Positive thinking approach to problem solving
  • Resilience to physically demanding tasks and potentially stressful situations
Desirable criteria
  • Problem solving skills with the ability to make changes within the service - prior examples of this to be given

  • Reliable, punctual with great professional values and behaviours
  • Ability to demonstrate that the candidate has an Empathetic and compassionate personality

Skills and knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Basic maths and literacy GCSE
  • Excellent working knoweldge of sconfidentiality, priviacy and dignity polcies
  • Excellent working knowledge of health and safety when manual handling

  • Further educational studies vocational or academic
