Senior Clinical Pharmacist - Rotational

Band 7

Job overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic clinical pharmacist to join our large and friendly team delivering the diverse pharmacy service within one of the country's largest teaching trusts.

As part of the senior rotational programme you will get to provide complex, pharmaceutical care for patients, optimising their medicines and ensuring the safe & effective transfer of care.  You will have mentoring support of specialist pharmacists, and operational ward based support from medicines management technicians.

In addition you will build up your knowledge and skills  to give you a wealth of experience for your CV.

Don’t know what area to specialise in but want a post that will give you the skills and opportunities to develop into a first class, well rounded pharmacist then this senior rotational post is for you!

Main duties of the job

This post is part of our rotational programme involving 12-month long rotations aimed at building your clinical knowledge and skills, as well as maximising your integration with the multi-disciplinary teams. The current rotational gap is within the oncology team, but once enrolled in this programme you will rotate around a wide range of specialist areas, such as specialist medicine, admissions, oncology, paediatrics, antimicrobials & ePMA.

You will also get the opportunity to line manage and mentor the junior pharmacists within the department and MPharm students from the University of Nottingham, building your portfolio further.

To understand the role in more detail, please read the attached job description and person specification documents.

We are big believers in diversity and welcome new ideas to help develop our team in order to deliver world class healthcare to the vast patient populations we serve. With endless personal development opportunities available, at NUH we will endeavour to turn your job into a career!

We particularly welcome applications from people who identify as Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic, or Disabled, as we are striving to be better represented at NUH
