Full-time Band 5 Theatre Practitioner in Elective Orthopaedic Theatres
Are you an enthusiastic person who is passionate about patient safety and quality and would like to further develop your clinical skills? With the opportunity to develop link roles and career development.
Ensure the highest standards of care and safety within the Elective Orthopaedic Theatres and in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary teams, implement and maintain systems and processes which ensure standards are maintained

Work in partnership with Orthopaedic colleagues to ensure multi-disciplinary team work in achieving agreed, common goals / outcomes across the Elective Orthopaedic service

Ability to interact effectively with peers and junior and senior colleagues
Willingness to learn a variety of theatre skills and engage in departmental link roles

- Current level one NMC registration or HCPC registration

- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
Analytical and Judgement skills

- Demonstrate an ability to assess, plan, deliver, prioritise and evaluate patient care. Ability to identify own learning needs. Demonstrate an understanding of the Theatre/Recovery role
Physical Skills

- Dexterity and accuracy in undertaking clinical skills, use of equipment and documentation Competent and capable of using medical equipment Able to undertake patient manual handling manoeuvres and non-patient manual handling manoeuvres
Experience

- Supervision of non-registered staff and students

- Evidence of ability to mentor Demonstrate an involvement in link nurse or project work
Communication & relationship skill

- Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills Recognition of own level of competence and limitations and able to communicate these to appropriate staff
