An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to join the Therapy & Rehabilitation team at NUH as a Therapy Service Manager. The post holder will lead on clinical operational management of a range of specialities across City Hospital and Queen’s Medical Centre campuses. Specialities include Medicine, Surgery, Stroke (Hyperacute to neurorehabilitation), Neurosciences and Neurology, spanning adults and children's services. The role will involve supporting Speech and Language Therapy teams clinically and operationally, planning staffing capacity, and contributing to strategic vision and service improvement

This post holder will also have an important role in the transition of some of our rehabilitation services across to the National Rehabilitation Centre (opening Jun 25), along with Therapy workforce developments across all sites at NUH.

Manage a specialty within the Therapy & Rehabilitation Directorate which could include multiple professions.
Champion and drive change to support the trusts Strategy
Develop specific aspects of the Therapy Service working in partnership with the other managers.
Deputise for the Head of Therapy
Assist with the management of other areas of the Therapy Service during planned or unplanned absence.
Will work flexibly across all NUH campuses.

Training Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Allied Health Professional (SLT) educated to degree level ( or equivalent) and eligible for registration with the Health Professions Council (HCPC)
- • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development and post registration training to Masters level or equivalent.
Experience
